剧情：《模仿犯》东京都出现残酷杀人案，年轻女性的断手被随意丢弃在公共场所，此案旋即引起社会广泛关注。不久，一名神秘男子打来电话，声称断手事件系其所为，他不断致电媒体，或透露犯案细节，或嘲笑警方办事能力，之后更大胆做出杀人预告。然而竟在原定案发当夜，两名嫌疑犯坠崖身亡。 事件看似就此结束，然而一切才刚刚开始…… 本片根据日本推理小说家宫部美幸的同名作品改编，并荣获2003年蓝丝带最佳男配角奖（津田宽治 饰）和2003年每日电影奖最佳影片奖。
